Blue Student Wands…

I cut some oak wood yesterday. When the group of six wands (Three Adhara, three Celestino, three Myrrdin) were finished, the wood looked… uninteresting. There just wasn’t the lift of magic in it. So, I mixed up some colors and rubbed pigment into them- Green for Celestino, Red for Myrrdin, Blue for Adhara. They are wonderful! I will be offering them for the same price, as soon as I can take pictures of them- the imps have been tampering with my camera… They love anything mechanical, but they really should stay away from digital equipment! handbook

The Ebony Wand

I finished it today. This wand was begun on the full moon, so it has a lot of emotional power, it will be excellent for spells of celebration, protection, and energy. It is just beautiful! The Wizard who commissioned it sent me a crystal to set in the handle- from the Himalayan mountains, it is nearly as sparkly as diamond. I laid silver and gold leaf behind it, to throw the light back through it. The handle has Gold, Silver and Copper leaf detailing. It is almost gaudy, but very regal. my first post

Well, I’m not used to keeping a journal at all, much less a blog-type thingie. But my daughter Cami tells me I must. I want to talk about all kinds of things, like Harry Potter spells, and kinds of wood, and whaty it’s like to turn wood on a lathe. I want to be able to answer questions- and ask them too. I just cut a piece of Ebony, the first time I’ve made a wand from this wood. It is so beautiful! Ebony is the Emperor of all woods, hard, heavy, and pitch black, and it shines like glass…
