Exotic high-energy Wenge Wood 16-1/2 inches

adharawenge2

This gorgeous wood (pronounced “WENG-ay”) comes from the Congo and equatorial Africa. The black and brown grain is stunning, and creates a deeply textured surface when I cut it– the black grain is hard and shining as Ebony, while the brown grain is soft and matte. This wand is cut in my “Adhara” style, featuring graceful curves and the three-part “wedding band” decoration repeated three times. The simpler shapes are best, when the wood itself is so spectacular. It’s enhanced with softly patina-d bronze metal powder– not paint.

Katie

Dear Dragon Mom – Wanted to let you know that I absolutely love my custom-made wand. The rosewood is beautiful, as is the crystal at the tip!! The shape of the wand is perfect and the gold rings give it a look of ancient power. It is much lighter than I expected, which makes it wonderfully easy to work with. It’s just perfect, and I love the fact that I “designed” it myself. Thank you so much for all your hard work and attention to detail. Blessings, katie Katie chose the Adhara shape, in Rosewood. She picked an antique Swarovski…

Vonda, Sammi, and Cooike the budgerigar

Our wands came today. Sammi was so happy! And thrilled with Cooike’s wand, too. I can’t believe you went through all that trouble for his wand. They are both beautiful! Works of art! I hate to complain about mine, but it has the wrong metal leaf. I had asked for copper, which I believe would be so beautiful with the cocbolo rosewood. Instead I have gold. I really am disappointed. What can we do? The wood and rose quartz are beautiful; I just wish I had copper instead of gold. Sammi recieved this polychromed Dream Journey wand. Vonda chose a…

Blue Student Wands…

I cut some oak wood yesterday. When the group of six wands (Three Adhara, three Celestino, three Myrrdin) were finished, the wood looked… uninteresting. There just wasn’t the lift of magic in it. So, I mixed up some colors and rubbed pigment into them- Green for Celestino, Red for Myrrdin, Blue for Adhara. They are wonderful! I will be offering them for the same price, as soon as I can take pictures of them- the imps have been tampering with my camera… They love anything mechanical, but they really should stay away from digital equipment! terms

Reverend Styx

I want to thank you for the work you did on Victoria’s wand. She was so pleased when she got it this morning that she was in tears for more than an hour at work. All in all an excellent piece, which I’ve come to expect. The Reverend chose an Adhara Wand for Victoria, cut from Birch Wood and Gold Leafed.
